Many of the most important films in cinema history were made during the golden era of Hindi film making, in the mid to late 1950s and 1960s. These films, which included Raj Kapoor’s Shree 420, Shree Raam, Kaagaz Ke Phool and Mughal-e-Azam, were considered so influential that they shaped the landscape of Indian cinema for decades to come. To this day they are still considered some of India’s most illustrious films ever made. The concept of Saajan Ka Ghar (The Cult of Money) is an imaginary world where all actors, producers and directors are ‘gifted’ with 'Saajan' (money) by the Almighty. This money in turn makes it possible for them to do what they love doing. There's freedom to explore your creativity provided you have enough money. Unsurprisingly, Saajans start looking for ways to enhance their fortunes and what better way than indulging in illegal activities! The film is about the arrest of three actors, two producers and one director. The movie has an interesting cast that includes Ashutosh Rana, Anirudh Agarwal and Manish Naggdev, who plays the director. Imitating the ’50s and ’60s cinema this film brings back old memories of innocent heroes, who try to make a living by doing their passion – acting. All the actors depict mischievous characters driven by their lust for money. In fact the director gets arrested as he steals from a wealthy businessman to fund his film! The story is driven by a greedy producer whose only motive is making briefcase full of money from every deal. His obsession is to buy a bungalow in London. In fact the movie title “Saajan Ka Ghar” is a pun on the famous old song from the movie Shree 420 called “Saajan Phere Mein Topi Lage Na Jaane.” The main idea of this film revolves around a celebration of corruption, blackmailing and money laundering! All these elements are beautifully woven together in the form of a story. Here, all Saajans have their own way to make money – Ashutosh Rana – who plays an actor, flaunts his brand new BMW after marrying the producer’s daughter. He’s definitely a jealous husband as his wife is obsessed with her ‘wholesome’ figure. Aniruddh Agarwal, who plays a producer, wears a watch that costs more than his entire property, and does deals with his friends to make sure that he stays wealthy. And last but not the least, Manish Naggdev – the director – whose desperation for money is so high that he steals from a rich businessman to fund his film! The way he steals from another Saajan is hilarious. The film also has some good one-liners which will keep you laughing throughout the movie. cfa1e77820
